Ranger, Patrick and Brad, from New York city, fished with me for the two days. On Wednesday, we fished west of port, pounding the shoreline in 6 to 10 feet of water for 8 hours. We were lucky enough to find some stretches of dirty and warm water that gave us chances at fish. Thru the trip we had over a dozen browns hooked up. Ranger managed one colorful one that was close to 12lbs. Brad also had one on today that might of been larger. Today the fish wanted stick baits, gold and black was key! I do need to add about the nice release by Patrick of the rainbow, from the net, to the deck and then jumping out of his hands back into the lake, that one never made the cooler!

On Thursday, condition were a bit different. We fished east of port. The half day netted only a few. Water is still cold. Most of the shoreline is only averaging about 43-44 degrees. The gold and black Challenger was still working best. The guys from NY were good fishermen. Always ready for action.
