Saturday I fished with my derby team looking for a quality brown trout. We decided to pound the shoreline east in 6 to 10 feet of water. From 6:30 to 8:30 am the action was fast with 9 trout hooked up. Water temp was as high as 48 to 49 in some spots. Spoons off the boards were best.

Tuxedo Stinger black and silver was best. However, no derby size fish were caught. Mid trip we decided to go offshore. There we had action on silvers. A good size possible salmon was battled for a bit on the 300' foot copper line but not landed. Overall a fun day out but no derby size fish.

Sunday we went back east again, but conditions changed! We trolled the same area with no avail. Water cleared up from the previous day. After working it hard we trolled offshore and had more action with silvers 150 to 200' foot of water. The 200' foot copper did have some action. Again, a fun day out but no derby size fish to place!
